Group Registration Guide
Welcome
A warm welcome to the Group Leader Registration Guide for the Glasses of God Youth Rally on May 18 2024. This Guide is for Group Leaders who would like to register their Parish, Youth, or School Group for the Rally and pay all together or separately.
If you are a parent looking to register, please go to the Parents Guide here.
Overview and Considerations
The Glasses of God Youth Rally is the second annual diocesan wide youth rally for middle to high school aged youth sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield Office of Youth Ministry and the diocesan youth leadership team, which is comprised of high school youth leaders from across the diocese. The rally event is best described as a Catholic version of the popular Saturday Night Live TV show and includes talks by Jackie Francois Angel, the youth team leaders, music by a live and engaging collaborative diocesan youth band, skits, games, fun activities, Adoration and Confessions. The rally does not include Mass and will be produced, which means it will have many bright and flashing lights, loud and soft sounds and the like. A special monitored "Serenity Room" will be available for child(ren) who wrestle with this kind of environment, allowing them to still be able to participate in the event, while engaging with it in a quiet and relaxed environment. Please remind parents to indicate in the registration form if they would prefer for their child to engage with the event through the Serenity Room.
Safe Environment Policy and Adult Group Leaders
Adult Group Leaders are more than welcome to attend the event with their group, but all adults and chaperones must be in compliance with the Diocesan Office of Safe Environment - including a completed CORI Background Check, signed Code of Conduct, and VIRTUS training - prior to the event. The Office of Youth Ministry reserves the right to turn away any adults who are not in compliance with the Office of Safe Environment. For more information on Safe Environment or how to be in compliance, please contact the Office of Safe Environment at (413)-452-0662 or go to the website here.
Group Registration
The registration for the rally is built with groups in mind and we will do our best to accommodate your group. Please follow the steps below to register your group for the rally:

Parents pay for entire ticket 100%.

Group pays 100%.
If you have a generous donor who wants to sponsor a certain number of students, that is also possible.
If Groups decide to pay all or a portion of ticket price, then they must purchase codes from the Office of Youth Ministry. These codes are custom to your group and limited to how many you purchase. You may purchase additional codes if needed; however, please keep in mind that code purchases are non-refundable. Note that there are Group Rates available. Group Rates are only applied when Groups purchase codes all at once and cannot be applied retroactively:

Please send the link (and any purchased codes) to your parents for completion. Waivers for the event are included within. Parents must sign the waiver in order to get access to tickets. Make sure to collect tickets from parents or kids if you are planning to travel together as a group or to ensure that kids bring the tickets they have purchased for scanning at the event.
The Office of Youth Ministry will also send you a special link to register your Adult leaders and will work with you to ensure they are in compliance with the Office of Safe Environment. Adult Group Leaders are free to attend the event, but we ask that no more than 1 Adult Group Leader per 7 students attend the event. If additional Group Leaders would like to attend with your group, please contact Joe Austin to make accomodations. If there are many adults in your group who would like to be a part of the event, please have them contact Joe to assist as volunteers with the event.
